Bracelets for Change by Maggie & Molly
Our Children Making Change offers a valuable chance for younger children, who might not be able to volunteer, to engage actively in community service.
Recently DJD attorney Kelli Prinz came upon a Facebook post of the girls’ mom, letting friends and family know that the girls (Maggie and Molly) were participating in Our Children Making Change this year and are raising money for five charities— Dean Randazzo Cancer Foundation, Faces4Autism, Go4theGoal, Last Salute, and Reed’s Farm & Animal Sanctuary. It went on to explain that their first attempt at raising some money was clay bead bracelets for three dollars each and all the money goes to charities. Kelli knew immediately that this is something DJD would want to become invoved in.
"Our firm has had a longstanding commitment to local community involvement and local charities. We believe and are sincerely grateful that the community supports us, so we are always thinking of ways we can help and be there for the community. I was so impressed by the girls commitment to volunteerism for these great charities and donating time during their summer break to help others – it was totally in the spirit of DJD and I reached out to see what we might be able to do to support them."
Today, DJD proudly hosted their Bracelets for Change Boutique at the EHT office. Our attorneys, staff, and visitors enjoyed shopping from the lovely selection of bracelets. Thanks to the sales and a donation from our firm, Maggie and Molly raised over $500 for their chosen causes today! This is their final week of fundraising and if you would like to support, please email stephaniecorc@gmail.com.
