DJD Obtains $450,000 for Worker Who Falls Through Floor
In a very unusual case, D’Arcy Johnson Day, and partner Richard Albuquerque, recently obtained a $450,000 settlement for a client that fell through the floor of an attic to a room below while working, shattering his heel in the process, and also requiring shoulder surgery. Our lawsuit claimed the fall was caused by improper construction methods.
“Faced with an insurance company ready to defend the case at all costs, we hired multiple experts in the fields of construction standards, orthopedic surgery, future life care costs, and lost earnings to send a clear message that this firm would spare no expense in pursing this case for our client,” said Mr. Albuquerque. “We were pleased to achieve such a great result.”
