DJD is proud to announce a settlement reached by partner Richard Albuquerque on the eve of trial for a client injured in a motorcycle versus motor vehicle accident. 

Prior to the lawsuit being filed, the defense had only made an offer of $50,000.  Pushing forward, Richard was prepared to present the testimony of the treating orthopedic surgeon with the use of detailed medical exhibit boards, as well as the testimony of a life care planner with respect to future medical care needs.   

The aggressive preparation of the case throughout discovery resulted in a significantly increased settlement offer from the defense and the case settled for $475,000 just ten days before jury selection was scheduled to take place.
