UAW Court Victory Results in a Loss for Caesars Casino
D’Arcy Johnson Day workers’ compensation attorney, Christopher Day, recently registered a win against Caesars Atlantic City Casino in relating a dealer’s chronic shoulder problems to her repetitive job activities as a casino dealer. This is another victory for casino dealers and the UAW.
The Court found that the repetitive actions of a casino dealer caused her shoulder problems. Now the casino must pay the dealer for all of her lost time and they cannot use her sick or vacation time. The casino also has to pay 100% of the dealer’s medical costs, which means no co-payments or balance bills for the dealer to pay out of pocket. The dealer will also be entitled to a substantial settlement for the injuries to her shoulder.
