D’Arcy Johnson Day Partner Richard J. Albuquerque recently obtained a binding arbitration award for his client in the amount of $846,000.00. The client was injured in a motor vehicle accident while acting in the scope of his employment.  Richard obtained a very favorable award for the client through workers’ compensation then set his sights on the negligent driver who, unfortunately, had minimal liability coverage. 

However, through Richard’s investigation he found significant available coverage for his client through the employer’s auto policy which was available because he was in his work vehicle at the time he was injured. The arbitration award resulted from the underinsurance coverage on that work vehicle.
