For the second time in just a matter of weeks, D’Arcy Johnson Day is pleased to announce a $600,000 settlement, this time for a client injured in a motorcycle accident.  The settlement was obtained in mediation last week by attorney Steven Johnson, with trial just over a month away.

“Our client was seriously injured and needed both knee replacement and shoulder surgery.  Despite this, until last week, the insurance company had refused to offer even one dollar to compensate our client,” said Steven.  With trial looming, and Steve prepared to try the case, the insurance company realized what they were facing, backed down, and paid our client what he deserved.  

“These insurance companies think they can intimidate and frustrate our clients, hoping they will just go away.  However, what we’re seeing is the insurance companies are slowly learning that they can either voluntarily pay our clients a fair settlement, or we’ll take them to court and ‘take’ the money from them,” said Steven.

This marks the second $600,000 settlement against an insurance company that D’Arcy Johnson Day has obtained in just the past month.
